Congratulations Roland, Chase and David!
These three winners have been chosen for the GRRRL creative challenge for their ideas and concepts.
The concept was to develop a recruitment idea for the "GRRRL Army". We were looking for exciting creative ideas that create a rally cry for GRRRL.com that would drive sign-ups for people to become part of the GRRRL Army. You can learn more about the brief here.
They will be working at the LOLA agency to develop their ideas further into one combined concept and will collaborate to execute the project together.
Way to go! We look forward in seeing your final work with the LOLA agency!!
Please share your creative process with us #upcomerschallenge @upcomers.co

Hi everyone, my name is Roland, I am a Graphic Design Student at Santa Monica College. I really enjoyed working on the LO:LA creative brief because it gave me experience in a field that I haven't had any education in before. Digging deep into design and recording my process has been rewarding and enlightening into understanding the way that an actual creative agency works and thinks. I can't wait for the next opportunity! Upcomers has really given me the chance to grow in my career as a designer. Any student looking to advance with actual experience would benefit from the program. Upcomers is helping me succeed and I am positive that they can help other students as well!

My name is David Meza, a recent graduate from Cal State Dominguez Hills, Go Toros! I'm very excited to be one of the selected Upcomers for the GRRRL brief. Upcomers is an amazing creative space where I'm able to connect with current students, recent graduates, and professional creatives. I'm happy to know that I will gain real work experience from real design briefs that will help me succeed as a graphic designer.
Hello! My name is Chase Lewis, and I am a recent graduate from Pepperdine University with a degree in computer science and multimedia design. As a current freelance graphic designer, web developer, and photographer, I have had the pleasure of working on the LO:LA brief for GRRRL Clothing, which presented the perfect opportunity to combine all of my skills and interests into one purpose-driven initiative. I truly cannot wait to begin working with the team, and I will forever be grateful to Upcomers for providing such unique and competitive opportunities to myself and other young creatives alike. Looking forward to getting started!!
